Need Help?

We stand by our Motto “Local People Helping Local People”. If you are requiring assistance or need help figuring out your next step, please call, email or pop into the office at Goolwa.

Whalers Peninsula Community Association

Whalers Peninsula Community Association Inc was formed approximately 20 years ago with the view to assist those in the community who are in need of assistance. We help people who are domestic violence victims, homeless, in need of food, clothing, furniture, accommodation or any other form of support that we can provide. We have assisted thousands of people in need over the years. We receive referrals from many agencies in the Fleurieu. We are ALL volunteers. We receive no Government assistance.

We are a not for profit organisation and registered charity who assists homeless and disadvantaged people. We provide blankets, clothing, food, furniture, counselling, mobile food bus and shower and accommodation. We have an Op Shop which is our main source of income. Our ‘clients’ have a huge range of issues that they face in everyday life, from mental health to PTS veterans. We support and encourage these people to believe in themselves and develop confidence in their own capabilities leading to them creating an independent life, knowing we are always there to assist in any way possible.

What We Do

We are a local non-government funded, not for profit, charitable organisation based in Goolwa.

We provide practical solutions to help people and families (and their pets) across the Fleurieu Peninsula experiencing homelessness, hunger, domestic violence and hardship.

Support Us

There are many ways in which you can help us support and assist vulnerable people in our community. These can include donating in a variety of ways, becoming a sponsor or volunteer, shopping at our op shop or leaving a bequest in your will.

Whalers Emporium

The Whalers Emporium sells pre-loved clothes, books, homewares and furniture to raise vital funds for WPCA’s services. Our Emporium is our main source of income which enables us to provide blankets, clothing, food, furniture, counselling, mobile food bus and shower and accommodation to people (and their pets) in need across the Fleurieu.
